Karissa – 13

To celebrate Karissa’s birthday (and passage into the TEEN years!)  she and her best girlfriends came in for a party photo shoot.  It was really a great time, and easy to get caught up in the excitement of 5 giggling girls and their iTunes!  As you can see, the girls really got into posing for the camera…and they brought along some props and ideas of their own!  (The magazine shot below was ALL them!!)

I’ll have to admit that leading up to the session I wasn’t expecting all of them to look so grown up!  As it turns out, 13 is a WHOLE LOT less  awkward that  it was when I was that age!   (Yep, I still have the class photos to prove it!)  It’s also hard for me to accept that this is going to be MY daughter in about 3 1/2 years…  Yikes!!

Still, we all enjoyed the session so much; I think I’m going to create a party package when I update my price list and offerings for 2011.   Spread the word!

Ahhhhhh….To be young again…….!

Brandon

Brandon is graduating from the Math and Science Academy in Woodbury this year, and his session kicked off a full weekend for me.  (A personal record, actually!)  I was constantly changing gears;  from a senior, to a family, to a newborn, and back to a senior again, etc., etc…with not a lot space in between!!  My husband was at my parents house with my kids for a good share of it, so it worked out perfectly:  They didn’t have to miss not having me around, and I got to dive in and do my thing!

What a great way to start the weekend, though!   Brandon was a super nice kid and this weather we’ve been having is lovely.   (At the risk of sounding ungrateful, at least one more weekend of it would sure be nice!)

I’m just going to be making quick posts this week so I can stay on top of my workload, but I did promise some sneak peeks and I know they’ll be checking!

Kayla

Meet Kayla;  a graduating senior at Montgomery-Lonsdale High.  She and her mother came last week–We started at my house for some studio pics and  then headed to town for outdoor pics…  Believe it or not; while looking for a specific area I got turned around in Lonsdale! (A downtown area of about 6  blocks!)  I’ve said this before; but that wouldn’t come as a big surprise to anyone who knows me well.   It’s a really good thing I know how to laugh at myself!

Thanks for bearing with me, Kayla and Lisa!  I hope you love your senior portraits!

Things have been VERY busy for me!  It probably has something to do with the fact I’m still catching up from the long holiday weekend, but I also really packed in the photo sessions this week.  Generally I can easily wrap up a client gallery within my standard seven day deadline, but since I photographed three families in one night right before I left for the holiday weekend, I had to ask for a small extension!

This is the last of the three families I photographed that night.  I know these guys have been waiting awhile to see some of their family’s images from the evening out …and I want to thank them for their patience!  (FYI; the rest of your images will be posted to my client gallery shortly– I really hope you love them!)  If the guy in this post looks at all familiar, well, it’s because his twin brother and his family were in my previous post!

I really think all of their children all need to hop a flight to New York and sign modeling contracts RIGHT AWAY!

My goal is to wrap up at least one client gallery a day for the next several days…so check back often!
