Bryan secretly called me prior to Jessica’s family session to see if I would be available afterward to capture his surprise proposal to her. I can’t imagine what must have been going through Bryan’s head those few hours prior as I was gallivanting around town with his “intended” and her family–but if he was nervous, he didn’t show it! He just tagged along, calm and cool as a cucumber the whole time!
I, for one, was giddy as a schoolgirl when I knew the family session was drawing to a close. I was the only one who knew what was about to happen; and the plan was this: once we were all wrapped up with the family photos, I was supposed to ask Bryan and Jessica if they would like a couple of shots of just the two of them, “as long as he was there…”
One couldn’t help but get wrapped up in this personal and beautiful moment–I’m a little amazed that these photos weren’t blurry. I was shaking like a leaf once I took the first shot; and it just got worse once he got down on one knee!
I just love surprises!!

Look how happy Jessica’s mom is about her future son-in-law!:

This couple decided to have grandma and grandpa take their son home after he had his photos taken last Thursday (see previous post!) and stick around for more fun and intimate shots of just the two of them together. I thought this was such a great idea! Not many couples (my husband and me included) ever think about having themselves photographed alone together after their wedding day.
